Institutes of Psychology, Education and Social Sciences
Goethe University Frankfurt

The PEG building is located on the eastern edge of the campus on Hansaallee between the Presidium of the Goethe University Frankfurt and the Seminarhaus. In addition to the specialist library on the first floor and basement, the "DASEIN" canteen and the faculties of Psychology, Education and Social Sciences, the building also houses the Student Secretariat and the Student Service Point. Upon entering the building, you first enter a generously designed hallway from which the canteen and the Student Service Point are accessible. Beyond this is an open foyer, which is flooded with daylight through a large skylight. Access to the specialist library is on the first floor. On the second floor there are seminar rooms, the student secretariat and an open staircase leading to the faculties. The library extends over the first floor and a basement. Thanks to floor-to-ceiling glass fronts across both levels, the reading rooms are supplied with daylight from atriums, which ensures a pleasant learning atmosphere. A special feature of the building is the historic "ice cellar", which was uncovered during the construction work and is located in the middle of the library.
